The environment variables I set are as you say strictly for Windows environment. For GNU/Linux or MacOS, please see here for the prerequisites: https://www.graalvm.org/22.0/reference-manual/native-image/#prerequisites

For CI that's right, you need to setup your environment according to the prerequisites above. I've mentioned IntelliJ IDEA as this is harder to setup for development purpose.

Regarding Liberica NIK, that's right, it's based on GraalVM *community edition*.
